The Hunger Project is a global non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. While researching the topic, I found that hunger is a seemingly intractable problem. Many people turn away from the enormity of the problem and choose to do nothing while others feel that their efforts are futile. With that in mind, I felt a book was the most appropriate medium to help spread knowledge about the root causes of world hunger while helping people understand the measures that need to be taken to repair it at its core.
To begin showing people that they can in fact start tackling such a problem, we need to start with small actions that accumulate. I used a seed to represent this idea, so small and seemingly insignificant, although it is actually much more powerful upon closer inspection, hence the back of the book: Strong roots coming from this minor seed spell out the title of the book “End Hunger Now” and demonstrate the true strength of small beginnings.
